January - Erith's Star Bargain Hunter is crowned!
During this time of the credit crunch we all have to pull in the reigns and stop treating ourselves, but Erith Riverside Shopping Centre wanted to lend a helping hand so gave one lucky person the chance to close their own purse and treat themselves with the Centre's money.
On Friday 23rd January, Jean King from Belvedere was given a surprise visit from our Queen of Bargains at Erith Riverside Shopping Centre. She was presented with £100 to spend on whatever she liked as long as she spent the money within 60 minutes on sale items within the stores.
With fantastic retailers such as Matalan, Argos and Wilkinson's it didn't take Jean long to find the bargains she was looking for and within 45 minutes the hunt was over. Mrs King commented: It was a lovely surprise to find out I had won the money, I'm still in shock and I really enjoyed the shopping experience." Jean left the centre with some incredible bargains including a stylish cooking set, leather boots, silver cutlery and much more.
